Known for throwing a great party, Circa 1857 is thrilled to host another White Light Night! As Baton Rouge's largest art hop, White Light Night is our biggest party of the year packed full of more than 30 artists, live music, live DJ, food and drink and so much more.

With ample parking and totally free admission, Circa 1857 is "the best place to be".

Circa 1857 is unlike any other antique store you've ever been to. Housed in a former 1920s drug store called Griffon's, Circa 1857 opened in 2000. Over the years, ownership has changed a couple of times and since 2016 belongs to entrepreneurs and husbands Garrett J Kemp and Lucas Lognion.  The two also own a gift shop in Downtown Baton Rouge called Brass.
Kemp purchased the business in the summer of 2016 at the mere age of 21. Prior, he had been working at the shop since his high school days in 2013. Luke and Garrett married in October of 2021 and have together run the business since. It should be mentioned that the couple has an adorable dachshund named Susan. 
Circa 1857 has experienced bounds of growth since 2020. The duo changed the layout of the store and its inventory. Circa 1857 specializes in genuine antiques-- primarily French and English antiques from the mid-1800s. Items are sourced from all over the world from auctions, estates and other antique stores.
